Biomax Informatics is a Munich-based software company specializing in research software for bioinformatics. Biomax was founded in 1997 and has its roots in the Munich Information Center for Protein Sequences. The company's customer base consists of companies and research organizations in the areas of drug discovery, diagnostics, fine chemicals, food and plant production. In addition to exclusive software tools, Biomax Informatics provides services and curated knowledge bases.

A former employee said this in a review "Biomax is supposed to be a family business with a close and friendly atmosphere, this is completely untrue, the treatment towards the employees is deplorable, I did not learn anything, I was never guided by my direct bosses. They don't train their employees and they don't have autonomy to make decisions about the operation of the service stations, and what caused me the biggest problem was the work schedule, because you have to have total availability for everything that can happen in the station. Do NOT work here".

"When I joined the company 3/4 of the office cubicles were empty and I was told they were traveling for business, however after a few weeks i realized these travelers never returned, I later found out these cubicles were never expected an occupant, everyone who was ever in them left before me. After my departure from this company, through a head hunter friend who was recruiting in the same field, I was revealed that many of the resumes received with this company listed as previous jobs has an average of 3 months and maximum of 6 months. The cause? You guessed it, poor leadership, Mr Sim. A man who is ill tempered and self absorbed, a man who does not inspire followers. Here is a general list of conduct by its founder and CEO, Mr Sim. - Daily, someone is being yelled at in mandarin profanities during meetings. But worry not, if you are fresh in the company, he will never address you directly in any manner. - The marketing director's job and duties were demeaned in front of the everyone by comparing it to a beautician. - People who stood up and voiced out about the CEO's behavior were asked to pack their things and leave. - The company secretary is required to cook lunch for him as and when he wants. - The company was told every had to plan their leaves through the year in January or forego all, because he was not pleased with people taking leaves on long weekends. The general atmosphere of the company is high levels of anxiety and fear. Biomax has a cross functional structure however the high levels of anxiety and fear causes the survival instinct of each employee to take only responsibility and concern for their own work to not be fired, conflicting work between departments are very common due self survival interests. When things go wrong, as you can get the general idea by now - someone is going to get fired, solutions are not the first priority, assigning blame is. The reason why most resumes list Biomax Technologies on an average of 3 months is because executive and lower employees become the canon fodder of being the blame assignee."
